The AbilityBus package is a complete public transit application equipped with AbiliTrax flooring, flexible seating, and the state-of-the-art Shift N Step Dual Access Lift System, which allows full entry for both wheelchair and ambulatory customers with one OEM door opening. Transits have increased rider efficiency while decreasing the cost of ownership by pairing the Ford Transit equipped with AbilityBus packages and Shift N Step.

Cummins’ Battery Electric System (BES) is an all-electric powertrain for the transit bus market. Designed with Cummins proprietary lightweight battery packs, the system comes standard with 444 kWh battery capacity, but can be scaled in 74 kWh increments. Its on-board telemetry for remote diagnostics is compatible with AC or DC charging, reaching a full charge in less than four hours. The BES is currently available through launch partner GILLIG.
